This May, I graduated from Columbus State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. I focused in painting and I created several bodies of work that are very important to me. As a senior, we participate in a senior thesis exhibition show. I have created a series of paintings focusing on nature and the world around us. I am interested in the romantic view of the landscape and how powerful it can be. Nature is spiritual to me. I see our creator in the incredible world around us.
Each of these pieces is painted using abstract color and brush strokes. I am drawn to the art of Monet and the colors in Matisse’s work. Impressionism and expressionism have come through as important qualities to me as an artist. These paints are each acrylic on canvas and most of them are pretty large. I hope you all enjoy!
