Get to know me

Hey there, I’m Kate Scrivner.

I was born and raised in Columbus, GA but most of my days I can be found in Charleston, SC, or traveling the world to paint at weddings!

My journey into the world of art has been one of passion, dedication, and continuous learning. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in painting from Columbus State University, where I was able to grow and explore my artistic expression. The privilege of studying under world-renowned artist, Bo Bartlett, further developed my skills and deepened my appreciation for art. Throughout college, I began painting commission work full-time. It actually all started with dog portraits!

I started my journey into live wedding painting somewhat serendipitously in 2019 when a friend asked if I would consider painting live at her wedding. Despite initial hesitations, the experience opened my eyes to the unique joy and fulfillment that comes from being part of such intimate celebrations. Since then, with the help of social media and networking within the wedding world, my career has catapulted to new heights.

I have had the honor of painting over 200 weddings, traveling abroad, witnessing weddings of all different cultures, painting at high-profile weddings, and visiting so many inspiring places.

In my free time, I love painting en plein air, diving into books, exercising, and spending quality time with loved ones. I can’t help being extremely grateful that my profession has brought me on this incredible journey!
